At the heart of the Africa Tourism Awards is a commitment to integrity, excellence, and credibility. To uphold these values, the selection of winners is guided by a two-tiered evaluation system that combines industry expertise and collective insight: the Balearica Awards College and a panel of Awards Judges. Membership of the Balearica Awards College is restricted to tourism industry stakeholders whose experience and insights would be crucial as they score nominees based on the set awards criteria. Confirmed judges for the 2025 edition of awards include Stella Appenteng (Apstar Tours), Hulisani Thabela (African Association of Visitor Experiences & Attractions), Oluwaseyi Adegoke Adeyemo (Inside Watch Africa), Sithembile Sandla (Africa Tourism Awards) and Efetobo Awhana.

As a vital component of the Africa Tourism Awards, the College plays a crucial role in ensuring credibility, inclusivity, and industry-led insight throughout the awards process. They will score nominees based on set criteria for the different categories and their strong industry knowledge ensures that the best winners emerge to be celebrated!
